When you’re out in the wilderness camping or trekking up a mountain, you need a good quality multi-tool, but we’re not doing those things every day. For daily, day-to-day activities, the knife is the most commonly used tool, closely followed by the bottle opener. Andrew Capener and Asher Seevinck have started the brand, Everyman, designing products “to solve everyday problems,” like opening packages or letters. Their first product is the Porter Key Knife, an unobtrusive, sleek knife with a 1.5” blade and bottle opener multi-tool that easily slips on your current keyring. It has been designed to look as close to a key as possible.
Crafted from 3CR13 surgical grade and corrosion resistant stainless steel, this essential tool is strong, lightweight, and small enough to take anywhere. The tool features an easy to open drop point locking blade alongside a dual layer bottle opener. The motto of the Everyman brand is “We create products that make a better everyday for everyday people.”
After months of design and prototyping, the Porter Key Knife is now ready for manufacturing. It is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. It will cost $18. Expected shipping is next month, July 2015.
