NBC has dropped a spoilery preview for season two, and it picks up right where things left off. With Agent Will Graham now behind bars, framed for Dr. Hannibal Lecter’s crimes, it seems the new episodes will see him trying to prove his innocence. And it looks like he casts enough suspicion on the cannibal that both Jack Crawford (Laurence Fishburne) and Alana Bloom (Caroline Dhavernas) look to get targeted by the foodie-loving murderer. We hope that since it’s in the trailer, Hannibal is going on the defensive early on the season.
Season 1 of NBC’s Hannibal was a surprise hit among many. From the writing, acting to the atmosphere of the show everything was top-notch (read our review here). In Season 2 there is a deviation from villain of the week tradition, though it still exists. IGN reports:
“The first case was kind of a big operatic story, so we thought we can’t do that in one episode.” He also described the premiere as a pretty big continuation from Season 1, saying it, “kind of charted where everyone was psychologically from the first season.” Going forward, “We have some long arcs for the show… Things get really bad for lots of characters. – Bryan Fuller”
So except great things when the next season starts on Feb 28, 2014.
